GET STARTEDCONTACT US ABOUT THE CHALLENGE OF THE RUGGED RED!
“I loved Rugged Red, the volunteers, were great, Loved the race course and its challenges. The only suggestion I have is maybe have a few basic first aid supplies at the aid stations. As technical as that course is, just having some basic first aid at the checkpoints for falls, or mile 6 hornet stings lol, would be awesome. Really though this race lived up to all the hype, it was truly a great experience!”

“Fantastic trail race! I especially liked the variable terrain (creeks, dirt, mud, sand, stone, rocks, and the suspension bridge!), single “loop” course (never repeating anything), the challenge of the elevation change, and the friendliness of the volunteers/participants. Awesome experience!”
“Fortunate to have run every one of the Rugged Reds you have put on.”
“This was my first half! Loved this race and all the awesome people we would meet along the trail.”

Bring plenty of water! We cannot stress this enough. There will be water stations along this halfmarathon trail. Even so, we recommend that you carry water. Runners are the best judge of their bodies’ hydration levels.
All runners must sign a USATF waiver in addition to the waiver signed on Run Sign Up. Runners under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to participate. There will be search and rescue teams along the course and EMTs and ambulances on stand by. Remember, you will get off the Parkway at exit 33 and turn right this year at the end of the ramp.
The course parking will be at the Natural Bridge Campground this year Wi-Fi is available there. It is the campground behind the rest area parking lot. There will be a shuttle service in the rest area parking lot that will take you to the start line.
